Project Overview:

The project was to carry asbestos removal & disposal.  Demolish the workshop & tractor shed.

Scope of Work:

Asbestos Removal.

Demolition & site clearance.

Outcome: The contract was finished all on time. "I am pleased with the work done which was carried out to schedule and in a very competent manner by friendly and approachable members of staff. I would not hesitate to use your company again (and shall do when the time comes to knock down the last old building on site}.Thank you for a job well done." Best wishes, John "P.S. I was discussing with your chaps some old bricks which were revealed when the building was knocked down. They were stamped PRC. After a lot of research online, I found out that this is the mark of Princess Royal Colliery at Whitecroft in the forest .It started in 1842 and finished in 1965.At its height it employed 1300.All gone now bar a wash house put up for the miners in 1938.Apparently it was common for collieries to have brickworks so that clay excavated in tunnelling could turn a profit. I had no idea-a bit of history for you! I shall keep a brick or two as a momento."
